The Name

The woods at Routas are teaming with wild boar and at night, during the harvest, they
sneak into the

vineyard in search of the best grapes.

The Wine

The 1999 Boar Cabernet comprises Cabernet Sauvignon grapes estate-grown at Château Routas. An
unusually approachable young expression of this classic varietal, it is deep purple in colour, exudes fruity aromas on the nose, and has the velvety character of a great cabernet. Boar Cabernet is as enjoyable with meat and potatoes as it is before the meal as an apéritif.
